So... I got behind on things here at dA back when my thesis quite literally buried me for a week. In the meantime, things just stacked up. And I never got the chance to catch up - I've read a lot of journals, I've missed way more (I have nearly 200 entries backlogged) and the same goes with deviations (MORE than 200). And that's just for dA.

So! I haven't been intentionally ignoring anyone, just got a lot of catchup to do. I'm considering wiping the slate clean, cutting my losses on "what I've missed out on" and picking up from here.

*sighs* And all because I didn't check in for a measly week.

Decided I needed some more flower stock photos to paint with. How that became random cosplay, I'll never know. But, took 300 photos today, of flowers, fairies and landscape. Flowers will take longer to go through, there were -alot- of those, but the fairy ones... not so much. ^^

All I can say is 'oh gods, I've missed painting.'

It's been two years - TWO YEARS! since I packed it all away, and I have loved every minute of doing it again. Although, fur, why did I torture myself with FUR?!

Well, I suppose its back to thesis writing now. Le sigh.

So, the Clone Wars was fun. Not totally fantastic, but fun.

Did finally fix my armour straps and add a neck to the suit. Was pleased when they thought the armour (which needs fixing after -every- wear) looked like steel.

We had some awesome photos inside the pitch black cinema, lit only by sabres, unfortunately, they didn't turn out.

But, they've given me details on where to get sabres that can deal with combat, leatherworks for better armour, and latex places to remake the lekku so that they're not so obvious.

Yay!

Wondering if anyone here in Perth knows of anywhere that could be used as a backdrop for Darth Talon. I'd like to get some photos with the costume and can thinkg of absolutely nowhere.

AND, speaking of costume, for those at Supanova, you might remember seeing the 501st Legion? I got invited to do a three day troop with them, in costume, for the premiere of Clone Wars. So very very very happy. Gotta fix my armour straps (my armour keeps falling down) and add a neck to it. But, omgsqueeflail!
